Nina Lee Cooper Metcalf, 64, of  Hertford, died May 29, 2020 at home. Born in Swain County on September 12, 1955, she was the daughter of Frankie Nations Sheehan of Whittier and the late Harry Dennis Cooper.

In addition to her mother, survivors include sons Christopher J. Cooper, Michael Shane Cooper (Tonya) and Robert T. Byrum; sisters Evelyn Allen and (Donnie) and Charlotte Tilley (Derek); brothers Harry Neil Cooper (Linda) and Jim Sheehan; and grandchildren Jackson L. Cooper (Bailey), Marisa and Kelly Cooper and Christopher Luke Cooper.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on September 12 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Twiford Funeral Home is assisting the family. www.TwifordFH.com
