As we approach September 11, 2021, many of us remember where we were and what we were doing on that day 20 years ago when terrorists crashed four planes with passengers and crew members into the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Somerset, Pennsylvania.

Artist Hanna Jubran’s reflections on 9-11-2001 are expressed in a memorial he created to honor victims of those attacks, responders and families and loved ones of these heroes.

Jubran’s 15′ high stainless steel and bronze memorial is installed at the entrance to Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery in Nags Head. “We are pleased that the artist chose the Gallery as the site for his Memorial,” commented Pat Eure. “There is so much symbolism in its components, and I am sure those seeing it will be moved, as I was. It speaks of one of the saddest days of our nation’s history but also of hope for generations of people  who cherish freedom. ”

Presentation of the Memorial is planned for Saturday, September 11. Those attending should arrive at Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery, 210 E. Driftwood Street in Nags Head by 8:30 a.m. and join artist Hanna Jubran for an outdoor remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m.
