James “Jim” Bruce Oesting, 73, of Wanchese, died September 4, 2021 at The Outer Banks Hospital.

Born in Mequon, Wisc. on August 30, 1948, he was the son of the late Rachel Kelsey Oesting and Ralph Beck Oesting.

Survivors include wife Carla Gallop Oesting; daughter Melinda Maher; sons Dusty Gallop, Aiden Gallop and Bruce Oesting; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Sarah McLeod; brother John Oesting; and stepmother Roena Oesting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother David Oesting.

A memorial service was held September 17. The family requests donations be made to Twiford Funeral Home to assist with the cost of Jim’s final arrangements.
