James Eubanks, 86, of Manteo, died September 8, 2021 at home.

Brother James Eubanks was born in Durham on October 31, 1934, to the union of the late Bishop Council Sr. and the late Grace Eubanks.

After high school, he joined the U.S. Military’s 82^nd Airborne Division.

Brother Eubanks was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers Bishop Jr. and Willie Council and wife Miss Edna “Binky” Washington. Survivors include brother Anderson Council, a host of cousins and friends and aunt Mrs. Gertha Eubanks.

Plans for a memorial service are pending.
