Wanchese, NC – Edna Midgette Daniels, 84, of Wanchese, NC died Thursday, September 30, 2021, at her home.

A native of Waves, she was born June 21, 1937, to the late Maggie Toler Midgette and Jesse James Midgette.

Edna retired after many years as a cafeteria manager with Dare County Public Schools. For over 50 years, she was a member of the Rebekah organization.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Davis Daniels.

Edna is survived by five children, Cindy Daniels of Nags Head, NC, Denise Daniels of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Kevin Daniels of Anderson, SC, Yoyo Daniels of Wanchese, NC, and William Daniels of Wanchese, NC; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also, surviving are two sisters-in-law, Reba Conrad of Tega Cay, SC and Laura Paul of Winterville, NC; three special friends, Becky McCorkle, Carol Meekins, and Janice Haines; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to express appreciation to Heather and Melanie of Albemarle Home Care and Hospice for their gentle care of our mother.

The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, NC. A private burial will take place on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Cudworth Cemetery.
