Dare LWV sets candidate forums for municipal elections

The Dare County League of Women Voters will hold virtual forums for candidates from five towns for the upcoming municipal elections.

“We want to ensure everyone’s safety and also afford the opportunity for voters to see and hear their candidates speak and respond to questions about the issues that are important to them,” stated a Dare LWV press release. All are invited to attend via the Zoom webinar platform.

Dare LWV notes that the Town of Kill Devil Hills has mayoral and two commissioner seats open, but neither race is contested.

After you register to attend the virtual forum, a link to attend the webinar will be emailed, allowing registrants to join the webinar on the assigned date and time. Dare LWV is collecting questions now to be asked of the candidates. Questions for the candidates should be sent to DareLWV@gmail.com, including your name and town.

The forums will also be recorded and available on YouTube and other local outlets.
