Iris Lintern Byrne, 94, of Norfolk, Va., died October 29, 2021 at her home on the Outer Banks. Survivors include daughter Kathleen Bryne Miles, granddaughters Kelley and Kathleen Miles and a great-grandson.

She was predeceased by husband Lieutenant Commander / Captain Joseph L. Bryne, children Charles and Richard Blair and Michael and Patricia Anne Bryne and grandsons Mark Miles and Charles “Chucky” Blair.

Iris grew up in the countryside of Hampshire, England in the village of Grateley. She was the youngest of nine children to Alfred Earnest Lintern and Annie Beatrice Lintern.

Services will be conducted at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Gallop Funeral Services, Inc was entrusted with arrangements. www.gallopfuneralservices.com
