Roanoke Island Garden Club members keeping busy, more in store

Members of the Roanoke Island Garden Club (RIGC) have been busy lately, from painting pumpkins at its recent meeting to designing an exhibit of RIGC history and various activities at the Dare County Library in Manteo, helping decorate for the 70th anniversary celebration of The Elizabethan Gardens to planning for their semi-annual Plant and Yard Sale scheduled for November 6 at the Friends of Elizabeth II Guest House, Harriot Street and Highway 64.

The club’s next meeting is scheduled for November 4 to discuss plans for assisting the Town of Manteo with holiday decorations. Following the meeting, members will be distributing green wreaths to businesses competing in the wreath decorating contest.
