A ribbon cutting was held to officially rededicate the Tyrrell County Visitors Center in Columbia.

The facility had been closed many months for major repairs and renovations.

Several local dignitaries took part in the ceremony, including David Clegg, Tyrrell County manager; James Cahoon, Columbia mayor; Tommy Everett, chairman of the Tyrrell County Board of Commissioners; Jordan Davis, Tyrrell County Commissioner; Alan Moran, NC DOT Board Member; Sen. Bob Steinburg and State Rep. Ed Goodwin.
