Currituck County 4-H will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 starting at 6 p.m. The main topics discussed will be the 2022 Currituck Livestock and Poultry Programs. Register for this event at https://livestock-poultry2022.eventbrite.com. Participants can choose to attend in person or online via Zoom. Participants that choose the virtual setting will receive a Zoom link 48 hours prior to the meeting. This meeting will be geared towards parents, but youth are welcome to attend.

The 2022 Albemarle Area 4-H Livestock Show and Sale will be held April 26 and 27, 2022. The Livestock Show and Sale is a 4-H project for youth to raise, exhibit and then sell a market-quality animal (lamb, goat, hog and/or steer). Youth must be age 5 (and in kindergarten, not pre-k) and must not have graduated high school to participate. “We will discuss this information and go over other important dates and regulations regarding this program during the meeting,” stated the meeting announcement.

Currituck County 4-H is hosting a Domestic Poultry Show in the fall of 2022. The show is open to all youth ages 5-18 and there is a registration fee for that program. “During this informational meeting we will discuss the possible changes we are making with this program and how you can participate,” stated the announcement.
