John Burton Vick, or “JB” as he was best known, of Colington, died November 16, 2021.

JB, who grew up in Red Oak, was born July 9,1930 to Irene and Levy Vick. Besides his parents, JB was predeceased by brothers Billy, Albert and Levy Jr.

Survivors include wife Louise Vick; children Anne Holland (Bill), John Vick Jr. (Dana); grandchildren Jonathan Vick (Karen), Joshua Holland, Tyler Vick (Maricarmen), Allison Holland; Gracie Vick and Zoe Holland, and a host of extended family and friends.

Memorial gathering will be held November 20 from 1-3 p.m. at Dortches Baptist Church Family Life Center in Dortches. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in JB’s memory may be made to Dare County Special Olympics.
