James “Jimmy” Thomas Walker, 76, of Coinjock, died November 19, 2021 at Sentara Hospital of Elizabeth City. Jimmy was born in Roanoke, Va.

Survivors include children Ann Marie Gilbert and Lisa Michelle Walker; grandchildren Dereck Gilbert, Carolyn Gilbert, Sydney Berlin and Lyndsey Walker-Lee; and four great-grandchildren.

Jimmy was predeceased by parents Otto and Eleanor Walker; grandparents Levi and Annie Walker, infant grandson Timothy William Walker and an infant son.

Jimmy’s wishes for cremation will be honored and a celebration of life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
