Marvin Edward Markham, 66, of Columbia, died December 1, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Born in Pasquotank County on August 31, 1955, he was the son of Mary Evelyn Tarkington Markham and the late Thomas Argustus Markham Sr.

In addition to his mother, survivors include daughter Heather Markham; sisters Louise Markham Taylor (Gene), Brenda Markham Schachle (Keith) and Karen Markham Askew (Tim); and other family and friends. He was predeceased by brother Tommy Markham and stepdaughter Amy M. Heath.

Celebration of life was held December 4, 2021 at Newbegun United Methodist Church with the Rev. Casey Estler officiating. In lieu of flowers, please practice random acts of kindness in his memory. Twiford Funeral Home is serving the family. www.TwifordFH.com
