LeAnne Harris, 55, of Elizabeth City, died December 18, 2021 in Durham. Born May 11, 1966, she was the daughter of Doug Harris and the late Sandra Stallings Harris.

In 1996 her only child, Tanner, was born and LeAnne’s job as “mama” was by far her most cherished and important role.  In September of this year she was promoted to “Lovey” when her granddaughter, Presley, was born.

Survivors include parents Doug and Ellen Harris; son Tanner Hicks (Stacey); granddaughter Presley Ellen Hicks and other family members and friends. She was predeceased by mother Sandra Stallings Harris and sister Donna Harris Donaldson.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on December 23 at Twiford Memorial Chapel with visitation Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for granddaughter Presley Hicks has been set up at Southern Bank, c/o Doug Harris, 1875 W.
