Zacarias Garza, 64, of Shawboro, died December 18, 2021 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. He was born in El Campo, Texas on July 5, 1957 to the late José Garza and David Jasso Garza.

Survivors include wife Lysbeth Phillips Garza, daughter Lisa M. Pena (Oscar); sons Zac J. Lopez  (Rachel), Manuel J. Garza (Trish), Charles M. Curtis (Lucy), Abraham Curtis (Linda) and Christopher Curtis (Lisa); grandchildren Diego, Thomas, Aubree, Zachary, Brandie, Sarah, Amanda, Katie, Alex, Gregory, Hannah, Aaron and Hannah; brothers Carmen Garza (Caroline) of and Samuel Garza (Tammy); sisters Olimpia Sauseda (Fred), Lottie Wehunt and Martina Garza-Murphy (Pat); and extended family. He was preceded in death by brother Issiac Garza.
