Jean Hardy Dexter, of Oriental, born August 18, 1927 in Midland, MI, died December 23, 2021.

Jean was predeceased by parents Lynn and Mabel Hardy, brother William Hardy, sisters Ruth and Marietta, husband Paul and niece Lynda and her son Jack.

She is survived by son Stephen; daughter Jill; son Tad; grandson Paul Dexter; granddaughters Ashleigh, Melissa, Megan, Leslie and Jeanette; and 12 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Donations can be made in her honor to the Pamlico Arts Council Scholarship Program, PO Box 104 Bayboro, NC 28515
