Hello, Merry Christmas to you all!

We have a lot of heartwarming stories throughout the year. I thought I’d pass on one little Christmas story about Jay Dimig, one of our dedicated volunteers.

Jay’s a big tough guy, with a heart just as big. We responded to a request from Social Services to help a lady and her young children, who were without a home just before Christmas. We were able to help get them into a rental trailer. Jay, along with Bob Leh, another volunteer, drove his truck and trailer about 130 miles picking up donated furniture and appliances from various sources, and got the family moved in before Christmas.

Jay teared up as he told how they barely got a dresser into a little girl’s room before she was folding her clothes and putting them in, along with her toy animals. She had never had a room of her own. Jay said “that made my Christmas” (of course Jay went back with Christmas presents).
