Manteo Middle School essay contest winners recognized

Manteo Middle School students were recognized for winning an essay contest sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10950.
The first place award of $150 went to Amariah Calvillo; second place with $100 was awarded to Alec Midgett; and third place with $50 was presented to Adalay Grimsley.
Richard Probost from VFW Post 10950 joined with Superintendent John Farrelly and board member David Twiddy to present the recognitions.
