Ocracoke School fourth and fifth graders traveled to New Bern recently to visit Tryon Palace.
“Students had a great time and learned about our state’s early history,” stated a Facebook post from the school.
“Thanks to 4th and 5th grade teachers Karen Teklinsky and Jeanie Owens for making this happen (and to Salomon Vergara Cabos for driving!).”
