At Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, the three Bs are birds, bears and bobcats.

“Bears and bobcats are at the top of the predator food chain,” states USFWS.

“On rare occasions a bear will eat a bobcat. And sometimes a bobcat will eat a bear. But this happens mostly when an adult of one species comes across a juvenile of the other species.”
