Barbara Bliven Spence, 91, of Elizabeth City, died January 25, 2022. She was born in Newport, RI on July 21, 1930 to the late William “Gidgie” Bliven and Lydia Bliven.

Survivors include son Mike Spence; daughters Tracy Spence and Beth Sanchez; brother Alvin Bliven; grandchildren Jennifer Lebruska, Daphne Forster, Jesse Spence, Lauri Krause, Patrick Gregory, John Gregory, Macy Gregory, Wesley Sanchez, Greyson Sanchez and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband William “Bill” Spence, daughter Robin Smith; grandchild Kristopher Spence; and brothers Burton Stafford, William Stafford, George Stafford and Ellwood Stafford.

Graveside service was held January 28 at Koen Cemetery. Twiford Funeral Home is serving the family. www.TwifordFH.com
