Hugh Max Bartell, 63, of Kilkenny community, died February 3, 2022 at home.

Max was born in Tyrrell County on December 7, 1958 to the late William Bert and Elsie Lucille McClenny Bartell.

Survivors include wife Clara Ann Twiddy, son Hugh Max Bartell Jr.; daughter Crystal Bartell; brothers Michael Bartell (Martha), Billy Bartell and Timmy Bartell; and sisters Mary Bartell, Carla Bartell and Sharon Bartell; as well as several nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled at this time.

The family is being served by Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
