Terry Smith Ambrose, 78, of East Lake, died February 9, 2022. Born in Elizabeth City on May 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Nancy “Dixie” Smith Ambrose and Andrew Lee Ambrose.

Survivors include daughter Shannon A. Twiddy (David); brothers Irvin Ambrose (Willie Mae) and Willard Ambrose; and other family members.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by son Travis Smith Ambrose; sister Thelma Smith; and brother Corky Ambrose.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on February 13, 2022 at Twiford Colony Chapel with burial in the East Lake Community Cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
