Jamie Fountain, MD named The Outer Banks Hospital and Medical Group Beacon of Health Physician of the Year

The Outer Banks Hospital and Medical Group recognized Jamie Fountain, MD as the Beacon of Health Physician of the Year for 2021. She is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics.
Fountain graduated from Cape Hatteras High School and, following completion of her residency, joined the team at Outer Banks Family Medicine in Avon.
“Dr. Fountain shows care and understanding with both her patients and her team members; some have described her as ‘being the best,’ ‘always taking time to listen’ and ‘compassionate,’” stated a press release from TOBH.
Fountain is on the board of directors of The Outer Banks Hospital. She is married and has two children.
The Beacon of Health awards honor those who adhere to the mission and values of The Outer Banks Hospital and Medical Group and demonstrate the aspects of patient advocacy, collaboration, quality initiatives, community involvement and leadership/mentoring.
