Jeannine Potter Ballance, 89, of Fairfield, died February 11, 2022 at home.

Born March 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Seth Seymore Potter and Gaybell Marie Franks.

Survivors include son Clen “Ashley” Ballance; “Kirby” Randall Ballance (Angela); Edmond “Keith” Ballance; and Mark “Kevin” Ballance (Julie), four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Sandra P. Bryan and Sharon P. Spencer (Graham); and other extended family.

She was predeceased by husband Clen Labin Balance, siblings Garnet Eric “Buddy” Potter, Norma Caroline Ballance, Phyllis Gaynell Simmons, Arlene Yvonne Griffith, Lorraine Marie Yates and Azalea Velere Mitchell.

Family will receive relatives and friends at 450 North Lake Road, Fairfield, 2-4 p.m. on February 19, 2022. Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made to the NC Center for the Blind or the local Veteran’s Affairs office.
