The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Currituck County Center is hosting a two-part, hands-on miniature garden series, starting with a hypertufa workshop on Thursday, March 10 from 10-11:30 a.m. Attendees will have an opportunity to create and take home their own hypertufa planter or leave it at the center and use it for part two in the series.

The second part of the series covers creating miniature gardens and will be held on Thursday, March 24 from 10-11:30 a.m. In this workshop, participants will learn how to create and design their own small-sized garden, from plant choices and furnishings to planting and caring for mini gardens.

Register through Eventbrite at https://mini_garden_series.eventbrite.com/. The fee for   each session is $10 which includes the cost of materials for creating hypertufa containers, plants, soil and any additional materials needed to complete a miniature garden.

“Currently, masks are not required for indoor in-person classes but are encouraged for all individuals,” stated the Currituck Extension announcement. “Please be aware this could change in light of changing state or local COVID-19 mandates.”
