Larry Armwood, of Goldsboro, tried his luck on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won a $100,000 jackpot, according to a press release from the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Armwood purchased the lucky ticket from the East Ash Street Food Lion in Goldsboro. His ticket matched all five numbers in the Jan. 30 drawing and claimed his prize Friday, February 11 at lottery headquarters. After required state and federal tax withholdings, Armwood took home $71,010.
