The Currituck Extension will hold a “Fun in the Garden” Workshop on March 14, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children ages 5-7. The workshop will be face-to-face, hands-on lots of fun!

“We will be exploring the Extension Community Garden and greenhouses to learn about different garden plans and designs, planting some flowers in pots, and making a stepping stone,” stated the Currituck Extension press release.

The program will take place at the NC Cooperative Extension Currituck Center located at 120 Community Way in Barco.

“Your child will be a ‘gardener for the day’ so make sure they wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty. Please send them with a bag lunch,” stated the release.

Event registration fee is $10 and space is limited, so register by March 7, 2022 through Eventbrite at https://funingarden2022.eventbrite.com. Once registration is complete, visit https://v2.4honline.com and complete the 4-H online registration. This will register your child in 4-H for the year.

“Currently, in-person classes that are indoors require masks to be worn for the duration of the class. If you arrive without a mask one will be provided for you,” stated the release. “We ask all participants to maintain six feet of distance while on the premises. We are following the current NCSU guidelines and mandates.”
