The North Dare County Ministerial Association has announced Lent Wednesday worship services each Wednesday through April 13 from noon-12:30 p.m. Services will be held at the Outer Banks Presbyterian Church, located at 907 S. Croatan Highway in Kill Devil Hills. Services will also be livestreamed from outerbankspresbyterian.org.

“The Lent Wednesday worship continues a tradition of ecumenical Lenten worship begun on the Outer Banks in 1979 that took a break in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid 19,” stated the service announcement. “Members of area churches and others have gathered each year during the weeks leading up to Easter. Pastors of area churches lead the worship.”

The North Dare Ministerial Association meets on the first Wednesday of each month, September through May, and is open to leaders of all religious bodies. Members offer prayers at meetings of the Dare County Board of Commissioners and serve as volunteer chaplains at The Outer Banks Hospital. For information, contact the Rev. Spottswood Graves at 252-216-6863 or spottswoodgraves@gmail.com.
