Man arrested on drug, other charges after Kill Devil Hills traffic stop

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported that on March 5, 2022 at around 11 p.m., deputies working the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Veelee Drive and Hwy 158 in Kill Devil Hills.

“During the traffic stop the driver of the vehicle refused commands and threw an amount of Methamphetamine under his vehicle,” stated a DCSO press release. “The driver of the vehicle also resisted arrest.

Jose Pedro Bartolo Silva, 33, was arrested and charged with felony possession of schedule II and VI controlled substances, misdemeanor driving after consuming, misdemeanor open container, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor resist, delay and obstruct an officer.
