The carpentry classes at Cape Hatteras Secondary School in Buxton have completed their annual shed project. The shed will now be auctioned off to the public by sealed bid, which will be received through May 2, 2022.

The shed is located in the school parking lot adjacent to NC 12 and the school tennis courts.

The shed is dedicated to the memory of the late Elvin Hooper of Buxton, longtime Cape Hatteras Secondary carpentry teacher and native of Hatteras Island.
