Yvonne Marie Smith Lawyer, 80, of Elizabeth City, died March 18, 2022 at home. Yvonne was born in Hanover, Pa. on April 30, 1941 to the late Lester Mark Smith and Margaret Agatha Groft Smith.

Survivors include daughters Deborah Marie Lawyer and Brenda Ann Marie Lawyer Layden (Jonathan); three grandchildren; and other family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband Floyd S. Lawyer and brother Frederick M. Smith.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on March 25 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Celebration of life will take place in Hanover, Pa. at a later date.
