New York Times best-selling author Kristy Woodson Harvey’s latest novel – The Wedding Veil – is publishing on March 29 and as part of her publication week book tour, the eastern North Carolina writer will be making a stop in Manteo.

Downtown Books will host Harvey for a celebratory “Toast to The Wedding Veil” on Wednesday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at NouVines Wine Bar in downtown Manteo. Harvey will talk about her book, meet friends and fans and sign copies of her first hardback title, “a wonderful dual time story about the Vanderbilts, the Biltmore Estate, a runaway bride and the wedding veil that connects them all,” stated the event announcement from Downtown Books. “A terrific blend of historical fiction and dual time narrative with a good sprinkling of contemporary romance.”

Tickets to the event are $32 and are available at duckscottage.com. Tickets includes a signed copy of The Wedding Veil and a glass of bubbly.
