April 11, 1957 – April 3, 2022

Manteo, NC – Randy B. Spruill went home to be with Jesus with his wife and sister by his side.

He was the son of Ottis Odell Spruill and Olena Grace Spruill (both deceased).

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 40 years, Gloria B. Spruill; one sister Kathey Spruill of Columbia, NC; three brothers, Chucky R. Spruill of Columbia, NC, W.M. Spruill and wife Susan of Highland, IL and Tim Spruill and wife Mary of Chesapeake, VA.

Randy held many jobs over the years but the ones that he was most proud of were the N.C.D.O.T. Security Office Deputy Sheriff and gelcoater for a yacht company in Edenton, NC.

As per his request there will be no memorial service. He donated his body to science in the hope of helping future generations to find a cure for liver disease.

Randy was a die hard sports fan. His favorite teams were the Miami Dolphins and the U.N.C. Tarheels. He grew up in the country and loved fishing and hunting. He also loved to cook, look at cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed operating heavy equipment. He made everyone who knew him laugh. He had a great smile that lit up a room. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A special thanks to the Adoration Hospice team, especially nurse Pat Sylvia who went above and beyond. Also to the Island Pharmacy crew who both stood with us at this most difficult time.
