Today my grandson came for a visit. We had a great time reading and playing. But after he left, I had to take out the glass cleaner and paper towels to clean up his sweet fingerprints! Oh yes, I left a few in my studio to keep me company until he returns again. And oh how he seemed to leave his fingerprints everywhere! How sweet and how treasured he is and anything he leaves behind at Gigi’s.

On a bigger scale, I wonder what we will leave behind. Spiritually of course. Yes, there is talk of what will our legacy will be . . . our words, our wisdom, our works. But what is more important is what we leave behind spiritually. Our spiritual fingerprint. Have we shown a good Christian example to our friends and family? Have we helped those in need and have we prayed fervently? Did we offer spiritual mentorship when we could? I believe God wants us to be His hands and to touch as many hearts and minds as we can with the gospel either by word or by example of our Christian life. We can be the beacons of light. Billy Graham said, “The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.”
