Fessenden Center in Buxton is offering a family-friendly 5k run or walk on April 30.

For this special fitness event, participants assemble at 7:30 a.m. at the Hatteras Medical Center parking lot in Hatteras village. The run/walk starts at 8 a.m.

The race is in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Fessenden Center staff will be collecting donations for the Children and Youth Partnership of Dare County.
