James Howard Morris Jr.,75, of  Elizabeth City, died  April 15, 2022 at home.  Born in Newport News, Va. on September 16, 1946 to the late James Howard Morris and Claudia Clark Morris, he served his country honorably in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include son James Howard Morris III (Colleen); sisters Judy Wallace (Jimmy) and Joan Metzger; brother John Morris (Shirley); half-brother Leslie Morris; two grandchildren and other family. He was predeceased by sister Jeannette Johnstone and brothers Joseph Morris and Andrew Morris.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on April 22 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Twiford Funeral Home is serving the family. Memorial donations may be made to Mid-Atlantic Christian University, 715 N.
