Jerry Whaley “JW” Watkins Sr., 87, of Camden, died April 25, 2022 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Camden County on May 11, 1934 to the late Marion Watkins and Henrietta Bartlett Watkins, he was the husband of Odell Staples Watkins.

In addition to his wife, survivors include daughter Loretta Smith; son Jerry W. Watkins Jr.; sisters Frances Barnard, Addie Saunders and Dora Dandy; brother John Watkins (Nancy); two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter Rita Faye Watkins and son-in-law Donald Smith.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 29, 2022 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Twiford Funeral Home is serving the family. www.TwifordFH.com
