July 26, 1935 – April 26,2022

Patricia Lucia Riccitelli Trowbridge, age 86, of Nags Head, NC, formally VA Beach, VA where she lived most of her life.

Patsy passed away peacefully, after a short illness, with her sister at her side and listening to her favorite song “I did It My Way.”

Patsy was born in Suffolk, VA, and was the daughter of Helen Draper Riccitelli and Pasquale “Ricky” Riccitelli. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Duane, her daughters, Teresa and Debbie, and son, Duane Jr. (Buddy). She is survived by her sisters, Toni Radford, Greenbackville, VA and Rosemarie Doshier (Steve), East Lake, NC, her granddaughter, Mary Ann Gower, VA Beach, VA, and many nieces and nephews who loved her.

She enjoyed family trips and traveling. She and her husband, traveled all over the world, and throughout the US. She enjoyed her family time at the beach and spending time with her granddaughter. She loved children and animals, especially her dog, Cammie.

Patsy worked most of her life, working for GE, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and finishing her career, with the Neptune Festival, where she was a real asset and loved by all.

She was an active volunteer with Girl’s Club, Jayceets, Nightingale, and she and her husband were active in the VFW and various veteran’s organizations. She was a Lifetime member of Beta Signa Phi.

She will truly be missed by many.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Suffolk. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sturtevant Funeral Home Portsmouth Blvd Chapel.
