National Day of Prayer set for Thursday at Dare County Justice Center

The National Day of Prayer is set for Thursday, May 7, 2022.

In Dare County, the observance starts at noon at the Dare County Justice Center, located at 962 Marshall C. Collins Drive in Manteo.

This year, Ark Church is providing worship. Collaborating churches are Manteo First Assembly of God, Manteo Baptist, Coastal Family, Wanchese Assembly of God, The Source Church, Father’s Tabernacle and Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.

Bleachers will be available. The program is expected to last about an hour. Masks are optional.

Nationally, this is the 71st year of observing the National Day of Prayer, held annually on the first Thursday of May. People of all faiths are invited to the observance.
