It’s time to meet the winners of our second Mutt Madness photo contest sponsored by Roanoke Island Animal Clinic! The gallery at the top of this article features the winning photos.

Taking the top spot was Sawyer, 7, of Kill Devil Hills, who won a pet and family photoshoot with Shooters at the Beach, a one year’s supply of heartworm, flea and tick medicine provided by Roanoke Island Animal Clinic, a $100 gift card from Ocean Sands K-9 Resort, a photo print from Pam Anderson and treats and toys provided by Food Lion (2515 S. Croatan Hwy, Nags Head) and Hatteras Island Pet Resort.

Valor, 18 months, of Kitty Hawk, came in second and won a gift certificate for bandanna of the month club from Puparazzi, $25 gift certificate from Sugar Shack, a photo print from Pam Anderson, and toys and treats from Food Lion (2515 S. Croatan Hwy, Nags Head) and Hatteras Island Pet Resort.

Roody, 5, of Kill Devil Hills, was the third place winner, and will take home prizes from Food Lion (2515 S. Croatan Hwy, Nags Head) and Hatteras Island Pet Resort.

Mako, 6, of Elizabeth City, came in fourth place and won and toys and treats from Food Lion (2515 S. Croatan Hwy, Nags Head) and Hatteras Island Pet Resort.

Finalists in fifth place through eighth place – Truman, 2.5, of Manteo; Jazzy (My view), 5, of Manteo; Ruben (Happy place), almost 3, of Kitty Hawk; Coasta and Rica (Hi our names), 4 and 3 respectively, of Harbinger – will take home prizes from Food Lion (2515 S. Croatan Hwy, Nags Head) and Hatteras Island Pet Resort.

Owners of the winners will also receive a one year print and digital subscription to The Coastland Times for themselves and a friend.
