P.E.O. Chapter CJ to host Spring Tea to support women’s education

Kitty Hawk P.E.O. Chapter CJ will host its first Spring Tea at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 19.

A variety of tea sandwiches, savories and sweets will be served at the event. Attendees will enjoy hot specialty teas as well as uniquely flavored iced teas.

“P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) has been celebrating women helping women reach their educational goals. Since its inception in 1869, the nonprofit organization has helped more than 116,000 women pursue their educational goals by providing over $383 million in grants, scholarships, awards, and loans,” stated the event announcement. “The Sisterhood also owns and supports Cottey College in Missouri. The P.E.O. Sisterhood has brought together more than half a million women in the United States and Canada who are committed to helping women advance through education.”
