Richard T. Gillespie, of Kitty Hawk, died in Nags Head May 16, 2022. He was the son of the late Samuel and S. Viola Gillespie and brother of the late Robert Gillespie. Richard was born May 28, 1930 in York, Pa.

Survivors include wife Joan Gillespie, daughter Linda Gillespie Hoover and son-in-law Gary Hoover.

Memorial service will be held June 1 at 11 a.m. at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church.
