Catch and release: Virginia man lands large black drum in Nags Head

A large, 47 lb. black drum was released by C.J. Newcomb of Victoria, Va. Wednesday morning, June 1 on Jennette’s Pier. Anglers were also catching bluefish and puffers on the hot, sunny day with a cool water temperature of 62 degrees.
