UPDATE: The water main leak has been repaired, and Highway 64 is open to all traffic.

The Town of Manteo has reported that crews have responded to a water leak in the area of Bowsertown Road and Grenville Street in Manteo. Traffic is being diverted through Manns Harbor at the Midway intersection south of town, as well as being diverted away from the area of the break from the north side of town.

At this time, only water customers in the immediate area of the break are being impacted and no boil water advisories are in place.

“We appreciate your patience during the time needed for the repairs,” stated the announcement from the Town of Manteo. “Any available updates will be posted on the Town’s Facebook page as the work progresses.”
