John Lawrence Hinton Jr., 80, of Camden, died June 15, 2022 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.  He was born in Elizabeth City on July 4, 1941 to the late John Lawrence Hinton and Louise Sawyer Hinton.

Survivors include wife Linda Sue Lamb Hinton, sister Sophia Hinton Sawyer; brothers-in-law Larry G. Lamb Sr. and William Billy Riddick; and other family. He was predeceased by sister Patricia Hinton Riddick.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on July 3 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
