Robert Earl Lanier, 70, of Powells Point, died June 22, 2022. Bobby was a native of Richmond, VA, born December 20, 1951.

He moved his family – wife Margie and children Kim Wentz (Charles), Chad Tomlin (Sabrina), and Larry Tomlin (Amber) – to the Outer Banks in 1980. Survivors also include 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters Betty Harold (David), Judy Barbarian, Vicky Lanier, Carolyn Clowes (Waynes) and Ellen Poe and other family and friends.

He was predeceased by sister Shelby Spain and brother Gary Lanier.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 26 at Twiford Colony Chapel with visitation one hour prior.
