Peggy Lewis Godwin, 88, of Columbia, died August 20, 2022 at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington.

Mrs. Peggy was born in Wilson County on February 18, 1934 to the late Robert and Viola Smith Lewis.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Cabin Swamp Church of Christ Church Cemetery. Pastor Greg Brookens will officiate.

Survivors include children Saxon Baker, Pandora B. College and Spring B. Perkins; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husband Jessie Thomas Godwin, son Travis Baker, four brothers and four sisters.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.

Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service Columbia.
