The Manteo and Kill Devil Hills branches of the Dare County Library have announced the introduction of two book clubs for adults that will begin meeting in September.

“The Dare County Library has long recognized the need for more community activities that serve its adult patrons, and the request for a book club hosted by the library has been particularly overwhelming,” stated a Dare County press release. “Patron surveys have provided insight into the best times and days of the week for a book club to be held, as well as the types of books that patrons would like to read and the structure they prefer.”

Informational meetings will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in the meeting room at the Kill Devil Hills Library, as well as at 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022 in the Manteo Library’s meeting room. While registration is not required to attend the events, RSVPs are encouraged. To RSVP for a meeting, go to bit.ly/3dEtgfe. Attendance at these informational meetings is not required to join the book clubs.
