My August 24th edition of The Coastland Times arrived today (August 27th). Having many friends on the Outer Banks who traverse or who have traversed Oregon Inlet many times, I was encouraged to read on page one that U.S. Representative Greg Murphy has introduced a legislation to authorize a feasibility study for dual jetties for the Inlet.

I have used it many times from 1986 into 1995 on my Scarborough built sportfisherman Wild Card.

I was also happy to read that my U.S. Representative Rob Whitman was a cosponsor of the legislation. However, if I wanted to go to his hometown of Montross, VA, I would drive south southeast from Richmond and not north to northern Virginia where the article said Montross was located. Most people living in the Richmond area do not consider northern Virginia as being part of the Commonwealth.
